Laura Dern on Motherhood
A mom of two, Laura Dern has been acting since she was a child, making her film debut with her mother Diane Ladd in 1973’s White Lightning. Looking back on working with her mom as an adult, Dern says, “Now that I’m a grown-up, I can enjoy the woman. I was always afraid every choice she made reflected on me, but I was a kid, 19, 20.
