Sustainability
With the Green Spa Network Congress coming up this month, we’re proud to be a member. The Green Spa Network brings together leading spas and industry members from around the world to build a more environmentally aware spa industry. Eminence Organic Skin Care and GSN share a commitment to sustainability, helping partners adopt greener practices and reducing the environmental impact of traditional spa products and services.

Guided by these shared values, our partnership began in May 2013 when we joined GSN to help move the spa industry forward. Since then, we’ve attended the GSN Congress every year to learn with and support our industry peers in promoting sustainable practices and well-being. Last year, our General Manager Attila Koronczay spoke at the Congress about our charity, the Eminence Kids Foundation, which provides organic meals to seriously ill children worldwide. Each spring we also take part in the GSN Buyers Conference to connect with potential green spa partners. As our partnership has deepened, sponsoring GSN has become important to us — we’re proud to be one of only two Platinum-level sponsors.
Paul Schmidt, GSN Executive Director, says, “The longstanding support Eminence Organics has provided GSN has, I think, been integral to both companies’ success. It’s strong partnerships like these that motivate us all to keep doing the good work of making our dear planet healthier for generations to come.”
Caring for the planet matters to us, and our involvement with GSN is just one part of our eco-friendly efforts. Here are some green practices we follow every day:
– We plant a tree for every product sold through our Forests for the Future™ initiative — we’re the only skin care company to have planted more than 6 million trees.
– We recycle, compost, and reduce energy and water use at our office and warehouse. Our packing peanuts are fully compostable and dissolve in water.
– We give a public transportation credit to all employees — about 92% walk, bike, or take transit to work.
– We use eco-friendly ink on our packaging and make reusable tradeshow bags from jute, the second most renewable fiber.
– We teach potential partners about our green practices and how to apply them in the spa environment.
– Our Green Spa Program supports partner spas in adopting eco-friendly practices.
