Sustainability
Did you know that every time you buy an Eminence Organic Skin Care product, we plant a tree in a developing country? Through our Forests For The Future™ initiative, in partnership with Trees For The Future, we’ve planted more than 10 million trees across 22 countries.

The Impact Of Forests For The Future™
Ten million trees make a real difference. Eminence Organics and Trees For The Future have helped over 284 families in Koungheul, Senegal set up tree nurseries called Forest Gardens. These projects give families the training and tools to restore the land, grow their own food, and increase their income by up to 400%. Here’s a closer look at how our tree planting has helped families in Koungheul.
A Spotlight On Two Forest Garden Families
Bakary Camara
Leaders like Bakary Camara are key to a Forest Garden’s success. Bakary has served as Koungheul’s Lead Technician since 2015, training other farmers and monitoring progress. With his guidance, more than 80,000 people at 250 sites learn modern agroforestry methods to support their Forest Gardens.
Before the program, Bakary bought all his produce at local markets. Now, by selling his own fruits and vegetables, he can buy food for his family and pay his children’s school fees. His recent harvest included onions, cabbage, lettuce, eggplant and chili peppers.
Babacar Sarr
Babacar Sarr, 55, lives in Koungheul with his wife and nine children. After three years in the Forest Garden program, his food costs have gone down and his farming skills have greatly improved. Before joining, Babacar relied on monocropping, which made him vulnerable to crop loss and didn’t produce enough to meet his family’s needs.
Today, Babacar grows a variety of fruits and vegetables year-round, including mango, guava, eggplant and tomatoes. The extra income from selling crops helps him buy school supplies, cover medical bills and provide steady food for his family. He’s also installed an irrigation system to water his garden in the evenings, giving him more time to spend with his family.
Our partnership with Trees For The Future is very important to us as a green company and a Certified B Corporation™. To learn more about our Forests For The Future™ initiative, read Trees For The Future’s interview with Eminence Organics General Manager Attila Koronczay.
