Lifestyle & Wellness
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, now is a great time to plan your garden for the rest of the year. Many of us at Eminence Organics find inspiration at our Certified Organic Farm in the Hungarian countryside — and you can, too. This award-winning farm grows dozens of fruits, herbs and vegetables that change with the seasons, all used to create our nourishing skincare products.

Bring a bit of Hungary to your own garden with these tips for growing some of our favorite ingredients.
Gardening Tips for Peppermint
1. Peppermint spreads quickly, so plant it in a pot or install a root barrier to keep it contained.
2. Move your peppermint every 3–4 years. Left in one spot too long, the plant can become weak and leggy.
How We Use Peppermint
Peppermint adds a fresh note to our Citrus Lip Balm, a petroleum-free formula rich in shea butter and sunflower seed oil that keeps lips well-hydrated and gives a healthy shine.
Gardening Tips for Pumpkins
1. Water pumpkins in the evening — the fruit grows most at night. During peak weeks, pumpkins can increase by up to 2 inches in circumference overnight.
2. Water only at the base of the plant. Wet leaves can encourage mildew and other diseases.
How We Use Pumpkin
Pureed pumpkin pulp is packed with enzymes, beta-carotene, amino acids and antioxidants. It’s a key ingredient in our Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, an award-winning treatment that sloughs away dead skin cells and helps even out skin tone and fine lines.
Gardening Tips for Lavender
1. Plant lavender in full sun — it does best with 6–8 hours of direct sunlight a day.
2. Don’t over-fertilize. Too much food makes lavender put energy into leaves instead of fragrant flower buds.
How We Use Lavender
Our Lavender Age Corrective Night Concentrate hydrates and restores your skin as you sleep. Along with argan and jojoba oils and shea butter, lavender helps soothe and soften the skin while replenishing moisture.
