Eminence Organics has grown far beyond its modest start in Hungary. Since 1958, our goal has been to improve well-being naturally with outstanding products and service. That journey has taken us from the Hungarian countryside to Vancouver, Canada, and around the world. We still have roots at the Eminence Certified Organic Farm in Hungary, a growing team at our Vancouver office, and thousands of spa partners selling our organic, results-driven products worldwide. Here’s a short look at our story.
From Hungary With Love
Eminence Organic Skin Care began with the organic ingredients and skin-care methods the Koronczay family estheticians used for generations. The turning point for Boldijarre and Attila Koronczay came from a personal story: at age four, Boldijarre was diagnosed with an extremely rare leukemia and given a 0.1% chance of survival. His mother and grandmother turned to organic nutrition to help him heal. Miraculously, he recovered. Since then, the brothers have aimed to improve people’s health through organic nutrition and skin care.
The Move to Vancouver, Canada
After his recovery, Boldijarre trained as an esthetician and grew passionate about natural, organic ingredients. In 1996, he and Attila moved to Vancouver to bring their organic skin care to a wider audience. They chose Vancouver for its healthy lifestyle, green reputation, and mild climate—important for natural, heat-sensitive products.

To get started, the brothers took minimum-wage jobs and traded apartment renovations for rent. They faced years of rejection because the market—and even the spa industry—wasn’t ready for organic products. Still, they kept at it, living simply and staying focused on their shared vision.
A Global Brand
It took nine years for the brand to catch on in North America. Boldijarre began working at a local spa and introducing his clients to organic facials and Hungarian-style massage. Word spread, waitlists grew, and Attila used his engineering and logistics background to manage bringing products from Hungary to North America.
Today, Boldijarre is recognized as a Master Esthetician and has developed products used by A-list clients like Katherine Heigl, Laura Dern, and Kristen Bell. Attila runs day-to-day operations, overseeing farm production, product development, and manufacturing in Hungary.
Our central office is in Vancouver, but we stay closely connected to Hungary. Many ask, “Is Eminence really made in Hungary?” All our products are formulated in Hungary; most are manufactured there and then sent to Canada for hand-pouring. While we source some natural, organic, and Biodynamic® ingredients globally, most of our ingredients are still grown in Hungary.
Ingredients for Success
We’re proud of how far we’ve come. As Boldijarre told Dermascope: “Success is working all the time and making it look easy. It’s only through decades of hard work, late nights, sacrifices, uphill battles and hundreds of miles spent on the road each year that have made Eminence into the global brand it is today.”
