At Eminence Organic Skin Care, we’re dedicated to giving back to communities and helping those in need through charitable donations and programs. From planting trees in developing countries with our Forests for the Future™ initiative to providing organic fruits and vegetables to sick children through the Eminence Kids Foundation, we’re passionate about supporting people and the planet.
As our business grows globally, we’re placing even more emphasis on giving back—not just in North America, but around the world. One recent project we were proud to support was an academic scholarship at the 8th annual LadiesFund® Women’s Awards 2016 in Pakistan. Founded in 2007, LadiesFund® promotes, trains and provides financial support to female entrepreneurs, working to meet local economic and social needs while encouraging greater participation of women in the workforce (www.ladiesfund.com).
In partnership with Cosmo Group, we sponsored a scholarship for a deserving female university student who showed outstanding academic achievement and entrepreneurial promise through her studies and extracurricular work. This year’s Eminence Organics LadiesFund® Scholarship was awarded to Mariam Hashmi, chosen from four candidates at Iqra University in Karachi, and presented during the LadiesFund® Women’s Awards ceremony.
This scholarship will allow Mariam to complete her Bachelor of Education degree and pursue her goal of becoming a global business leader. As Cosmo Group noted, Mariam has believed since childhood that she could achieve something significant in business. Inspired by role models like Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Malala Yousafzai and Mother Teresa, she is breaking gender stereotypes and determined to make her own mark—qualities that made her our scholarship winner.
