When Danni, an esthetician at one of our spa partners, recently told us about her mission to support cancer research, we wanted to help. Our company president, Boldijarre Koronczay, is a leukemia survivor and shares a deep, personal commitment to fighting cancer and backing research. Like Danni, we hope to help create a world without cancer.

Danni channels that commitment through her work at the Forbes Five-Star Montage Laguna Beach, where she blends her career with her philanthropy. As a board member of Montage Resorts’ “Hearts of Montage” program and as chair of the annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society “Light the Night” walk, she has helped raise an impressive $60,000 for cancer research. In recognition of her efforts, she was recently nominated for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year.
Supporting the scientists and caregivers working toward a cure is a personal mission for Danni. Her daughter, Elexis, was diagnosed with cancer at 15 and given six months to live. Tragically, Elexis passed away just days after her diagnosis.
“I turned my sorrow into purpose,” says Danni. “Elexis didn’t even have a chance to fight, so I choose to fight in her memory. I don’t want anyone else to endure the same pain and loss we have.”
We are honored that Danni asked us to support her work, and deeply moved by her strength. “Don’t take life for granted — hold your loved ones tight,” she urges. Danni, your words mean so much to all of us at Eminence Organic Skin Care. You may be nominated by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, but you’re also OUR Woman of the Year.
