Have you ever wondered what it’s like to win a major online video contest? To get inspired, make a video, beat the odds and take home the grand prize? Often contests come and go and we never hear who actually won.
We wanted to pull back the curtain and share the best part of the Eminence Organics “Win a Trip to Budapest” video contest—the winners. So we sat down with our two grand-prize winners, Natalie Barrios and Kirsten Rash. They’re both passionate friends of Eminence Organics, and we’re excited to learn more about them before their trip to Hungary and the Eminence Certified Organic Farm.
Here’s what Kirsten and Natalie shared about the contest and their videos.
Kirsten Rash
What do you do?
I’ve worked as a master esthetician at Sego Lily Spa in Layton, Utah since 2005.
How did you come up with the idea for your video? What was the hardest part of filming?
After attending an Eminence Organics regional training where they announced the contest, the idea came to me on the drive home—I was inspired by the show “Naked and Afraid.” The toughest part was trying to look as naked as possible without actually being nude in front of my two friends—we laughed the whole time.
What are you looking forward to seeing in Budapest and the Eminence Certified Organic Farm?
I’m excited to see the farm—especially the plants I’ve used in facials for years.
What do you love best about Eminence Organic skin care products?
I feel I’ve grown as an esthetician because of Eminence Organics. The company cares about spas and clients, and really puts thought into its products. It may sound cheesy, but I love everything about Eminence products. I trust them to deliver results for my clients—and they smell great.
Natalie Barrios
What do you do?
I’m a student and work as a receptionist/office secretary.
If you could describe yourself in one sentence, what would it be?
I’m a cat lover who enjoys making people laugh, traveling, and Star Wars.
How did you come up with your video? What was the hardest part of filming?
I wanted my video to capture Eminence Organics as a lifestyle, not just a skincare line, so I chose a “day in the life” concept. Living in Florida, we battled unpredictable weather and extreme heat. One moment the sun blazed; the next it would pour and we’d have to stop and wait it out.
How did you feel when you found out you won one of the grand prizes?
I felt a mix of shock, excitement, and joy—I still can’t believe it!
What inspires you about Eminence Organics?
Eminence’s eco-friendly practices and commitment to protecting the planet inspire me to be more mindful in my daily life. Their dedication to the environment and to people motivates me to use my buying power to make positive changes.
