From Land to Sea: Our Commitment to Sustainable Beauty

Sustainability

At Eminence Organic Skin Care, taking care of your skin goes hand in hand with taking care of the planet. Our environmental work reflects our belief that skincare and sustainability belong together. With your support, our Forests for the Future™ initiative with Trees for the Future has planted more than 29 million trees.

From Land to Sea: Our Commitment to Sustainable Beauty

Now we’re growing that effort beneath the waves, too — supporting coral reef restoration in the Florida Keys with I.CARE and helping rebuild underwater forests with kelp planting through veritree.

Here’s how your support is helping regenerate ecosystems — from farmland to the ocean floor.

Forests for the Future™: 29 Million Trees and Counting
Every time you buy an Eminence Organics retail product, you’re doing more than treating your skin — you’re planting a tree through our Forests for the Future™ program.

In partnership with Trees for the Future, this program helps farmers in developing countries by providing education and resources to create Forest Gardens: diverse, sustainable gardens that restore soil, feed families, and build lasting livelihoods.

And the impact keeps growing. Thanks to your support, we’ve planted over 29 million trees, trained more than 6,000 farmers, and helped bring food and dignified work to communities around the world, restoring soils and supporting a more sustainable future.

Regenerative Work Beneath the Waves
We’re expanding our regeneration efforts under the sea. Through our partnership with veritree, we’ve diversified our planting to include kelp in the Pacific Northwest and mangroves in Kenya and Brazil. Kelp and mangroves are powerful allies:

– Kelp provides habitat for about 10% of coastal marine life
– Around 25% of coastal species rely on kelp
– Kelp can reduce wave energy by up to 60%, helping protect shorelines and people
– Kelp absorbs CO2 and converts it into organic matter

Supporting Coral Reef Restoration with I.CARE
We’re also working with I.CARE to restore coral reefs in the Florida Keys. Founded by Dr. Kylie Smith and Mike Goldberg, I.CARE combines education, science, and community action to heal our oceans.

Their program has trained thousands of recreational divers in coral transplanting and reintroduced more than 10,000 temperature-resistant corals to damaged reefs. Their community-based approach has helped restore vital marine habitats.

Eminence Organics President Boldijarre Koronczay experienced this work firsthand in the Florida Keys. He started with education about the vital role of coral reefs and learned the skills needed for underwater conservation. Then he dove in — literally — descending 40 feet below the surface in his signature apron and hat to help transplant baby, temperature-resistant coral fragments. These efforts help restore biodiversity, improve reef health, and protect marine ecosystems for future generations.

Our Holiday Gift
This past holiday season, we made a special donation to I.CARE on behalf of our Spa Partners — a thank-you made possible by your commitment to conscious beauty and environmental care.
