Eminence Organics cares deeply about the planet. We plant a tree for every product sold, use recycled and recyclable packaging, and our Certified Organic Farm follows traditional farming methods that restore the land. Since 1958, we’ve chosen eco-friendly solutions that are good for Earth and for people. We also bring our partners along through the Green Spa Program, certifying spas that meet our environmental standards as Eminence Green Spas.
Eco-Friendly Spas
What does it take to run a spa that’s sustainable? We spoke with two Eminence-authorized spas in our Green Spa Program: By The Sea Day Spa in Branford, Connecticut, and The Spa at RiverStone in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We were impressed by both spas’ commitment to being greener and excited to learn more. Read on to hear their stories.

What do you do to be environmentally friendly?
We recycle and reuse Eminence product containers, donate old sheets and towels to animal shelters, use only LED light bulbs, choose green cleaning supplies, and offer only organic or naturally derived products in the spa.
What else sets you apart?
We take our efforts into the community—we join the Earth Day 5K, organize litter pick-ups, and help plant trees at local schools.
Why is it important to use planet-friendly skin care?
I want a clean, healthy environment for this generation and the next. A healthy planet means better health for everyone. Our clients love Eminence and what it stands for. Seeing how many trees we’ve planted through the Forests for the Future™ program really resonates with them.

What are three eco-friendly practices you use?
These three actions make the biggest difference for us: we limit robes and wraps to guests who receive more than one body treatment—this saves lots of water and energy and extends the life of linens; we use only recycled shopping bags and tissue in our large gift shop; and we offer Stash Organic Teas that are fair trade, so our tea selection supports farmers and the planet.
How does being green set you apart?
Not enough businesses make small changes that add up to big results. That attitude is what we want our guests and staff to take home so they can help create broader change.
