Everyone wants to look and feel their best when summer arrives with its heat, shorts and swimsuits. With clients prepping for beach days, weddings and other events, here are treatments to help them glow from face to toe — and many spots in between.

Summer-Ready Spa Treatments

When it’s hot, showing more skin often becomes necessary. While sun protection is important, wearing fewer layers is usually more comfortable. That means parts of the body that were covered for months may now be on display. Many clients also have a busy summer calendar and want a radiant look. Luckily, there are plenty of treatments that help them feel confident in their skin.

Exfoliation
Exfoliating the body removes dead skin from the dry months and reveals smoother, fresher-looking skin. It’s a great standalone treatment and a perfect add-on before a body wrap.

The Tropical Escape Refining Body Protocol is ideal for summer. It starts with the Coconut Sugar Scrub to slough off dead skin and hydrate with coconut oil. Next, the Mango Enzyme Body Wrap uses active enzymes, alpha hydroxy acids and vitamins for gentle exfoliation and a refreshed look. A massage with Apricot Body Oil leaves skin soft and supple. For normal to dry clients, finish with Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream, or send them home with a retail-size tube to extend the results.

Body Wraps
Body wraps relax and renew the skin. They can add hydration, improve texture, and help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Wraps are customizable to each client’s needs. Summer favorites include:

– Mango Enzyme Body Wrap: Hydrates and smooths skin. Mango brings antioxidants and vitamin A, while pineapple, lactic and glycolic acids gently exfoliate. This mango-scented wrap also includes Biocomplex2™, a boost of antioxidants that helps restore the look of elasticity and youthfulness.
– Chocolate Truffle Body Wrap: A luxurious-scented wrap that tightens and tones crepey, wrinkled skin. Cocoa is rich in antioxidants, and almond, jojoba and macadamia oils soften and hydrate.
– Herbal Cellulite Treatment: Cellulite is common, and while there’s no cure, targeted wraps can improve its appearance on thighs, buttocks, lower abdomen and arms. This treatment uses paprika and skin-safe stinging nettle to invigorate the skin, plus bioflavonoids and honey to add moisture and promote a firmer look.

Hair Removal
Whether clients choose waxing, laser or shaving at home, a few steps make hair removal go more smoothly. One main concern is ingrown hairs, so a little prep helps.

Gently exfoliating before hair removal clears dead skin that might trap hairs beneath the surface. Body scrubs work well, or use a salicylic or glycolic acid a couple of days before a session to speed cell turnover. A swipe of Clear Skin Willow Bark Exfoliating Peel helps. Since it’s best to exfoliate a day or two before waxing, advise clients to do this at home; if they have an in-spa scrub, tell them shaving is best a day or two after the appointment.

After waxing, calm and hydrate the area with Stone Crop Masque, then apply Stone Crop Serum or Facial Recovery Oil. Finish with a moisturizer such as Stone Crop Whip Moisturizer or Echinacea Recovery Cream to soothe irritation.
