American Spa’s Women In Wellness
Each year, American Spa recognizes women who are making a real impact in the spa and wellness field. The Women In Wellness Awards highlight women who are changing the industry through board and organizational work, finding new opportunities, giving back, and bringing their unique perspectives to everything they do.

An Inspiring Educator and Trainer
We’re proud that Natalie was named a finalist in the Educator and Trainer category. American Spa describes this award as honoring a woman who is making a difference by sharing knowledge about industry topics, products, equipment, and more.
Natalie is Eminence Organic Skin Care’s spa and wellness expert. She’s a licensed esthetician with more than 19 years of hands-on experience and was personally trained by Hungarian masters in skin care techniques and herbalism. With deep knowledge and practical experience, she shares what she knows as a product knowledge specialist, lead skin care trainer, and host of the YouTube series In The Mix. It’s no surprise American Spa recognizes her for her contributions to wellness education.
Q&A With Natalie Pergar
American Spa spoke with Natalie about women, wellness, and her work at Eminence Organic Skin Care. Read the highlights below.
Why do you think women are particularly well suited for leadership roles in the wellness industry?
Women are naturally drawn to wellness because it focuses on care, healing, and creating calm, relaxing experiences. We’re great at multitasking and collaborating, and since many roles in this industry are held by women—and about 70 percent of spa customers are women—it makes sense for women to be well represented in leadership.
What advice do you have for aspiring female wellness leaders?
Keep an open mind, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, and keep learning from people both younger and older than you—everyone has something to teach or a different point of view to offer. Stay alert for opportunities so they don’t pass you by.
Why do you think women are such a valuable part of the workforce?
Women bring fresh perspectives to problems and communicate in ways that add value. The more diversity of thought in a workplace, the better it is for everyone.
How do you cultivate future female leaders at your company?
Eminence offers many supports for leaders, including leadership training led by women, conflict resolution workshops, and strengths coaching. We try to promote from within when possible and encourage team members to grow.
What skills should women cultivate to become better leaders?
Never stop learning. Embrace your strengths and use them to help others. Know your weaknesses and work on them so you can keep growing. Self-awareness builds confidence in who you are—without pretending to be someone else—and that confidence shines through and helps you become a great leader.
